Some Useful Linux(Debian) Commands

Here you can find Some useful Linux (Debian) Commands

1. sudo apt-get install wine-------------------To install Wine program

2. gconftool-2 --shutdown
  rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel--------------------Run these commands to restore the deleted panel
  pkill gnome-panel

3. Alt+Ctrl+T--------------------------To open terminal

4. Alt+F1------------------------------To open Menu

5. Alt+F2------------------------------To open RUN

6. Winlogo+E---------------------------To show desktops

7. Winlogo+D---------------------------To minimise windows

8. Winlogo+M---------------------------To mute sound

9. Shft+F------------------------------To go to find

10. sudo passwd root-------------------To reset root password

11. su root----------------------------To change to root account

12. sudo apt-get rdesktop---------------To install RDP, which is used to take windows system on remote

13. rdesktop 192.168.1.17---------------To take the mentioned IP system on remote

14. ctrl+l------------------------------To edit the URL of a web browser

15. sudo sh <filename>.bundle------------To install .bundle files
16. sudo su VMware-Workstation-*------------------> To install vmware workstation in Linux ( it will store the log in --/var/lib/vmware/Shared VMs-- bydefault)

17. net rpc shutdown -r -f -I xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -U username--------> to shutdown windows machine from Linux machine remotely

18. sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_linux.deb---------> To install teamviewer
